Designed and A/B Tested

Using professional tools.
Skilled in Adobe Indesign and Photoshop.

I’ve always designed my own book covers. My first one (back in 2005) came from necessity — I needed something fast.
As my publishing journey evolved, so did my curiosity. I began experimenting with A/B testing for titles and cover designs to understand what truly catches attention and converts curiosity into clicks.
The Process
I explore every creative variable:
- Face or no face? People are instinctively drawn to faces, but the choice of whose face — age, expression, tone — shifts the story entirely.
- Title experiments. Cabin Crew or Flight Attendant? Made Easy or The Manual? 12 or 24 hours or survival? Even small word choices change how readers perceive value and accessibility.
- Design details. Colour palettes, typography, layout hierarchy, even spine composition — I test each element to see what resonates with the intended audience.
These are just some of the A/B tests I’ve explored over the years.
